One Injured When Car Strikes Tree in Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, TENN – Monday, May 14, 2007 – Just after 10:30 AM today, the Tri Community
Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported single vehicle MVC on Windstone Drive just inside
the Windstone Subdivision.

Heavy Rescue 1281 along with Battalion Chief Steve Wright and Fire Marshal Amory Planchard arrived
to find a Lexus automobile off the roadway against a tree at the intersection of Cattails Drive.  The
female driver, who was alone in the car, was still inside although she was not entrapped.  Medic 5 from
Hamilton County Rescue arrived at about the same time and firefighters and paramedics tended to the
woman’s injuries.  Although they did not appear life threatening, the patient was loaded onto a
backboard as she was removed from the vehicle.  She was transported to Erlanger Hospital in
satisfactory condition.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation.  The cause of the accident is
unknown at this time.  The roadway parallels a golf course and this tree, although not far from the road,
was on the golf course.
