Motorcyclist Hurt in 2 Vehicle MVA

CHATTANOOGA, TN  - Shortly after 8:30 AM, Wednesday, January 24, 2007, Chattanooga Police and
Fire along with medics from Hamilton County EMS responded to a reported MVA involving a motorcycle
at E. 23rd Street and Rossville Blvd.

Chattanooga Fire Department Quint 2 arrived to find a motorcycle lying on its side after obviously being
in a collision with a Cadillac Sedan deVille.  The motorcyclist was down on the ground and firefighters
and paramedics began medical treatment for the down rider.  He was packaged and transported to
Erlanger Medical Center.  His condition is unknown but it is not believed to be life threatening.  Early
reports stated that the male rider suffered two broken legs and possible internal injuries but this could
not be confirmed.

The accident was investigated by the Chattanooga Police Department.  The driver of the Cadillac was
not injured.
