Driver Loses Control, Boat and Trailer Flip CHATTANOOGA, TN – Thursday, February 22, 2007 – At about 8:45 AM today, a man driving northbound on Hickory Valley Road in the 8100 block lost control of his Chevrolet Pickup truck, swerved off the right side of the road and back onto the rod, crossing the southbound lane and ending up in a ditch next to the roadway.  The pickup truck was towing a trailer with a boat on it.   Somehow, the boat came off the trailer turned around 180 degrees and landed on top of the truck. Chattanooga Fire Department Quint 8 and Hamilton County EMS Medic 7 responded to the reported accident with injuries.  The male driver was the only occupant of the truck and he suffered on very minor injuries.  He was treated on the scene by medics and refused transport to the hospital.   What caused the driver to lose control and end up in this situation is unknown.  The accident is being investigated by the Chattanooga Police Department.  Total damage is unknown at this time.
