Head on Crash in Forsyth County Injures One

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – At about 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2007, Forsyth
County Engine 12 and Rural Metro Medic 12 responded to a two vehicle MVC with injuries at
Highway 306 and Northbound Highway 400.

Engine 12 located the accident on the 400 northbound exit ramp to Highway 306 and reported
a head on collision.  The vehicles involved were an early 1980’s model Ford F150 pickup truck
and a late model sedan.  The F150 had been traveling south on the exit ramp when it collided
head on with the sedan.  The driver of the F150, an elderly female, was uninjured.  

The female driver of the sedan had serious injuries including an open fracture of the lef with
near amputation and multiple fractures of both arms.  She was quickly packaged by medics
and firefighters and rushed by Med 12 to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the accident is under investigation at this time.
