| 4 Car MVC Lands One Car On Its Side In Fort Oglethorpe FORT OGLETHOPRE, GA – At approximately 4:35 PM, Friday, January 26, 2007 Fort Oglethorpe Fire & Rescue responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with one car on its side and possible entrapment. The accident was reported to be at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Fant Drive. Assistant Chief Glenn Davis responded along with Engine 1 under the command of Capt. Charles Correll. Chief Davis arrived and reported a four vehicle accident with one on its side. He further reported no entrapment. Engine 1 arrived momentarily and began to administer medical treatment. Paramedics with Hutcheson EMS also arrived on the scene and began to treat patients. None of the injuries appeared to be serious in nature. Two of the vehicles, a Ford Windstar and a Ford Explorer were traveling south on Fant Drive at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway. A Nissan Sentra had been westbound on Battlefield Parkway. The Toyota Avalon, the vehicle on its side, was facing south on Fant Drive, however it is unknown which direction it was traveling. The accident is being investigated by the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department. |
