Rollover Passengers Escape with Minor Injuries in Catoosa County

CATOOSA COUNTY, GA – Shortly before 1:00 PM, Monday, November 12, 2007, the Catoosa
County Fire Department responded to a reported rollover on Interstate 75 southbound near the
350 mile marker.  When Catoosa Rescue 1 arrived on the scene, firefighters found a Dodge 4x4
pickup truck on its side directly in front of an 18 wheeler.  

The occupants of the pickup truck had already self extricated and were suffering from non life
threatening injuries.  They were treated on the scene by medics and taken to an area hospital
with undisclosed injuries.  The operator of the Peterbilt tractor trailer combination was unhurt.  

Traffic was slowed on the interstate while firefighters worked to clean up the mess and the
vehicle removed.  The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department was on the scene for traffic control
and the Georgia State Patrol investigated the accident.  There has been no word on the cause of
the accident.  It occurred southbound at the entrance ramp from Battlefield Parkway.
