Life Force Flies One in Dallas Bay Rollover

DALLAS BAY, TENN – Sunday, October 19, 2008 – At about 11:45 AM, the Dallas Bay Fire
Department was notified of a single vehicle rollover on Dallas Lake Road near Roberts Road.
When firefighters arrived they found a single vehicle, an SUV with extensive damage and learned
that the sole occupant had been ejected.  The victim suffered a major head injury and firefighters
requested Life Force medical helicopter.

A landing zone was established at the corner of Daisy Dallas Road and Hensley Road.  The patient
was cared for on the ground by medics from Hamilton County EMS.  Once the helicopter was on the
ground, the patient was immediately loaded and transported to Erlanger Hospital in critical condition.

Traffic Investigator Sgt. David Tittle said the driver of the 1997 Ford Explorer was traveling east on
Dallas Lake Road and lost control. The vehicle ran partially off the roadway and struck a driveway
culvert and two mailboxes. The vehicle then crossed the road and into a ditch, struck another
driveway culvert and became airborne.  The vehicle continued on and made contact with a
television cable line and a chain link fence before it rolled several times and came to rest in a ditch.
The vehicle was so damaged it was barely distinguishable as an SUV.  Investigators are working to
reconstruct the accident scene and determine an exact cause.  There were no other injuries as a
result of the accident.
