| Head on Collision in Chattanooga Injures One CHATTANOOGA, TENN – Just before 1:30 PM, Sunday, October 14, 2007, the Chattanooga Fire Department received a call of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 8100 block of East Brainerd Road. Quint 21 responded and found three vehicles involved, two of which collided head on. The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of the four lane roadway. The two cars that met head on were a white Ford Mustang GT and a silver Infiniti G35. The Mustang was facing eastbound and the Infiniti westbound. A third vehicle, a silver Nissan Altima was also facing westbound and suffered only minor damage to the left front. The male operator of the Infiniti was treated at the scene by medics with Hamilton County EMS and transported to Erlanger Hospital. His injuries, although serious, do not appear to be life threatening. The driver of the Mustang suffered some bumps and bruises but denied transport. No one in the Altima was injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department. |
