Highway 58 Makes Quick Stop

HAMILTON COUNTY, TENN – Monday, July 14, 2008 – Just after 3:00 PM, Highway 58 Firefighters
responded to a reported residential structure fire on Pythion Drive.  Deputy Chief Mark Hutchings
was the first to arrive on the scene and reported light smoke showing.

When firefighters with Engine 1642 arrived on the scene they quickly made their way into the
structure through the front door and found the fire still confined to one room.  They made a quick
hit on the fire and contained it to one area inside that room.  Fire damage was minimal.  There was
some smoke and water damage to the rest of the house but it could have been much worse if not
for the quick work of the firefighters on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.  There were no injuries as a result of the
fire.  Deputies from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department assisted and medics from Hamilton
County EMS were on stand by on the scene.
